Self-Help Plus (SH+) in Young Turkish-Speaking Participants: A Pilot Study
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the applicability and potential impact of Self-Help Plus (SHE+), a community-based psychosocial intervention program, on young Turkish-speaking women.
SH+ is designed by the World Health Organization to help participants regulate their emotions during stressful situations and cope with negative life experiences. The program consists of five weeks and is implemented in a group format. The primary goal of SH+ is to teach participants stress management skills.
This intervention program will be applied for the first time in Türkiye to participants who have not experienced migration or war but have high stress levels. In this context, the program's applicability, accessibility, and sustainability will be evaluated. Based on this project, we are planning psychosocial intervention programs to reach wider audiences in the future. Furthermore, by having the program implemented by university students, we aim to create a pioneering social responsibility model that acts as a bridge between academia and society.
