Yasemin Sohtorik İlkmen, Psy.D.

Assoc. Prof. Yasemin Sohtorik İlkmen received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA, and continued her clinical work between 2006 and 2011 at the psychiatric emergency department of University Behavioral Healthcare in the same state. There, she gained extensive expertise in emergency psychiatric services by conducting mental health screenings for both adults and children/adolescents, including assessments of psychosis and suicide risk. She began her academic career in 2014 at the Psychology Department at Yeditepe University and has been continuing her research activities at Psychology Department at Boğaziçi University since 2019. Her research interests include a broad range of topics, including psychoanalytic therapy processes, neuropsychological assessments, and the effects of urbanization on child development. Among her most recent projects are a pilot study of a psychosocial intervention program aimed at improving stress management skills in young women, and another research project, in collaboration with Uppsala University and the Afghan Refugee Solidarity Association, aims to assess the psychological needs and cognitive skills of Afghan refugee mothers and their children

Feyza is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Boğaziçi University. She worked as a research assistant on the Automated Autobiographical Interview project at Sabancı University, participating in studies focused on the encoding of autobiographical memory narratives. She has also contributed to research on social categorization and the dehumanization of immigrant groups at the Social Psychology Laboratory of Boğaziçi University. She aims to pursue academic and applied studies in the field of clinical psychology in the future.

Hatice Hadimli

Hatice is a senior psychology student at Boğaziçi University. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved in volunteer work at the Social Services club, where she served as president for a year. She completed an internship at the ÇAPA Social Psychiatry Service and participated as an observer in group therapy sessions. She aims to specialize in clinical psychology. Her main areas of interest are treatment processes and preventative methods for personality disorders and anxiety disorders in adults.

İrem Muslugil

İrem is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Boğaziçi University. She is actively involved in the Family and Child Laboratory as well as the Social Lab. Her areas of interest include trauma, interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation processes, and the impact of these processes on mental health.

Rabia Nudem Elpe

Rabia Nudem is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Boğaziçi University. She works as a research assistant at the Boğaziçi Family and Child Laboratory, contributing to a project that implements the World Health Organization's Self-Help and More (SH+) intervention with women aged 18-29, gaining experience in participant coordination, data collection, and community-based mental health interventions. Her internships in clinical settings allowed her to observe psychological assessment and intervention processes, strengthening her interest in clinical psychology. She is particularly interested in mental health interventions, psychological well-being, child and adolescent mental health, and how evidence-based practices can support individuals and communities.

Selin Ülküden

Selin is a senior psychology student at Boğaziçi University. Her academic interests include neurodevelopmental disorders in children, psychosocial adjustment problems in adulthood, mindfulness, and art therapies. During her undergraduate studies, she held various positions in the Boğaziçi University Behavioral Sciences Club and participated in organizing numerous activities.

Sevde Esma Güleç

Sevde is a senior psychology student at Boğaziçi University. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in research internships at the Emotional and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Medipol University and the Visual Perception Laboratory at Boğaziçi University. Her academic interests focus on the effects of psychopathological conditions on cognitive processes, particularly autobiographical memory and self-referenced processing. Her primary research motivation is to understand how perception becomes biased in psychopathological conditions, how it affects the recall of memories and self-perception, and the neural implications of these processes.

Yaren Yolcu

Yaren is pursuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Boğaziçi University. She conducts workshops with children involved in crime as part of the BUSOS club and serves as Project Coordinator. Her areas of interest include grief processes in children and adults, feminist and trauma-focused therapy models, and gender dysphoria.
